Craigentinny is the low-key member of the Edinburgh Leisure family — 5,511 yards, par 67, on the gently undulating ground between Leith and Portobello, with Arthur's Seat filling the skyline behind the back nine. It is regularly the quietest of the city's 18-hole municipals on a weekday morning, which for a certain kind of golfer is the entire selling point.
The course is shorter and more open than Carrick Knowe, with small greens — several bunkered — providing what defence there is. Same Edinburgh Leisure rules as the rest of the stable: £36.50 for a casual eighteen, cashless payment, no membership needed, and the £17.50 guest rate only if a member brings you. Under forty pounds for eighteen holes inside a capital city is still one of British golf's quieter bargains.
