Golf events in Scotland.
Tickets, hospitality, accommodation, courses to play, and how to get there — for the championships that bring the world to Scotland.
How we approach events coverage
Scotland hosts more significant professional golf events than any other country its size. The Open Championship at St Andrews, Carnoustie, Muirfield and Royal Troon. The Scottish Open at Kingsbarns and the Renaissance Club. The Senior Open at Gleneagles. The Curtis Cup, Walker Cup, Solheim Cup at irregular intervals.
Each of these events draws visitors who have not been to Scotland before — and visitors who have, but haven't planned around a championship week. These guides cover what the official event websites don't: honest accommodation realities, the courses worth playing before or after the tournament, how the logistics actually work on competition days, and what the experience is genuinely like for someone attending rather than watching on television.
