Where to stay

Base yourself in Carnoustie

The Carnoustie Golf Hotel sits right on the 18th fairway — the convenient premium option, and the one that lets you walk to the first tee on your marquee day. For a group watching the budget, Carnoustie and neighbouring Monifieth have plenty of self-catering and guest houses, and Dundee is 20 minutes down the coast with the full range of city hotels if the group is dispersing by train afterwards. All three courses sit on the same stretch of coast, so wherever you base, nothing is more than half an hour away.

The Sunday Post

A good round, a fair fee, and a story from the clubhouse.

One email, most Sundays. No affiliate spam, no drip funnel, no nonsense. Just the tee time we'd book this week, the muni we'd play before work, and one piece of Scottish golf history worth the read.
