The honest trade-off: fewer covered bays than the big centres, so a wet-night session needs a little luck with availability — and grass bays are a summer pleasure, not a January one.

Melville Golf Centre — the A7 option

South-east of the bypass at Lasswade, Melville is the range for Midlothian and anyone on the A7 corridor, with a nine-hole pay-and-play course attached — a useful combination for beginners who want to graduate from bucket to scorecard on the same site.
