Gullane and neighbouring Aberlady have a deep self-catering market — cottages and coastal houses that sleep 8–16 sit within walking distance of the first tee at Gullane. Book a base here and the whole trip is a short drive along the A198: North Berwick is ten minutes east, Dunbar twenty. If self-catering is full, North Berwick town has small hotels and B&Bs and its own railway station on the Edinburgh line — useful if part of the group is arriving without a car.
