Budget Golf Scotland
Golf Under £50 in Scotland
Under fifty covers a wide spread of quality. Some of Scotland's most respected courses sit at this level — particularly in areas not named Fife or Ayrshire.
Among the 233 courses in our database, approximately 57% have a minimum green fee below £50 — which means this and the pages below it represent the majority of Scottish golf by volume. The regional disparity is significant: Highland, Borders, Aberdeen & Moray, and Perthshire courses in this bracket are often equivalent in quality to East Lothian or Fife courses that charge £80–£120. This is partly a visitor-flow effect — courses in less-travelled regions don't yet face the demand pressure to raise prices — and partly deliberate policy at clubs serving a predominantly local membership. The under-£50 list also covers courses where curation matters most: the price spread includes everything from a solid club to a genuinely world-class links that simply hasn't caught up with what demand would support.
